Just what we need, another competition for the under 30s. Brilliant.

What about one for the retired over 60s admen who can really afford it and should have been to London/Cannes plenty of times in their career, paid for by the agencies they milked along the way (if they were any good). The reason these comps are for young people is that they are at the start of their careers and don't have all the perks just yet, you middle aged, bitter and twisted, twat/hack.

Fucking right we need a comp for over 60's in advertising. anyone who has done this shit until they are 60 deserves a fucking medal and not a kick in the pants for you.

You mean FROM YOU. You must be tired, take a break. And if you think advertising is shit, you work in the wrong agency. Sounds like another late night at Ideaworks mate.

It's IDEAWORKS, drongo. At least know how to spell the name of the agency you have been working in all night. You really are tired, aren't you? Anyway, now it's Saturday morning, have you finished that fucking brochure copy yet? That's what Jono wants to know - coz I just know he reads this blog - and he's on his way into Cremorne right now to kick your over 60 skinny arse, I bet!

To 5.04pm, (it's 4.28 here), I'm not actually a middle aged, bitter and twisted, twat/hack. I'm not even 30 yet. But I am sick of all the under 30s competitions because:
a). the ads that win are usually the same as the ones that take out the non-age restricted shows and
b). they perpetuate the myth that life ends at 30. Advertising is not sport.

Some people don't even start in this industry until late 20s because often the most interesting creatives had another career first.

On another note, the London International Advertising Awards are kind of lame anyway, so it just seems like a waste of entry fees on another token competition with the grand prize being a trip to London in the winter, when it's freezing and the days are only five minutes long.

who cares about London International Awards. They are the biggest sham awards festival going around. The $10,000 prize is only made possible by the OK creatives who can't win at the proper shows and who think that having a LIAA Awards on their CV counts for something. Silly young folk...your entry fees will pay for the lucky OK creative who is just slightly above average in talent and will never win at Cannes or D&AD.

4:10.. you're a cock

8.31am - you must have an LIAA sitting proudly on its own somewhere in your cubicle...no hoper.
Winning at LIAA is as important as winning a bag full of steamy turd. That is a known fact globally so I suggest you hide your sole trophy until you win something that's worth showing off.

8.31 - I have won at Cannes and I'm still going to enter the young creative award, so get fucked you sour old cunt. I'll write to you from London with $10k in my back-burner.
