GOD MAKES WAY FOR HELL'S PIZZA THE OUTDOOR ACTION

A global campaign depicting words from God on billboards (see www.godspeaks.com) is being run in New Zealand with local creative by Consortium, Auckland. These “messages from God” billboards have been appearing around Auckland over the last six months. (two are shown here).
Hell Pizza is a NZ fast food chain with over 50 outlets around the nation.
Publicismojo, Auckland worked with Hell Pizza to create a campaign to leverage the power of the God messages to create awareness and preference for the Hell Pizza brand.
Some of the Hell billboards (three are shown here) are appearing on the exact sites previously inhabited by God, others appear nearby in the same locales.
All of them are attracting response by Christians, although most concede that God does have a sense of humour.
So far no one involved in the campaign has been affected by lightning strike.

Not only 'not brilliant', the Hell guys are a bunch of ad agency sluts. They've been putting it around everywhere, and over the years have had more agencies than hot pizzas.
trouble is, they're a reasonably cool (or hot as hell) brand, and do let agencies come to them with scamtastic ideas, especially around the award season.
Then Hell claim poverty, bleating about their student roots, expansion costs, and lack of marketing budget so they get the job done as a 'creative opportunity'part freebie, or all the pizza you can eat contra deal, and promptly totter off on their high hells shouting "cooee, what agency wants to lay me now?"
Am I bitter? No, but I think a wee boycott might mean that they have to commit to one lucky agency for at least 6 months. Just think of all that free pizza you'd get!

Leave them with Mojo then. If Mojo Auckland is still being funded by their international offices to become the 'creative hub' of the world, they won't care if they don't get paid. And the rest of us can relax because they won't winning any awards with this stuff either.

Far out you are all so jealous.
It's a great idea.
Go Mojo.

Apparently there's only one agency actually getting a monthly fee from Hell, and their media commission; and it ain't Mojo.

no matter what you're opinion of them is - they are straight from a great campaign from singapore about a few years ago.

type reversed out of black and with god's name right beneath, why it's advertising blasphemy to do such a thing.

and they're shit.

Dear Mr Anonymous from above.
The real reason you haven’t placed you name to your comment is simple.
Because it would show you have no fuckin idea what you are talking about. Before you get up on your soapbox, do a little research buddy. I’ll give you a hand look up Godspeaks.com.
This campaign started in the states in 1998.
The campaign was then picked up by many other countries running their own lines. One of them was “Singapore”
Last year it was decided to do it again. Each country having their own people write their own headlines. These aren’t done for awards but to spread the word of God.

Have a nice day.

if god is infact a copywriter then we must logically be in heaven... working in advertising...which is really scary...coz if this is heaven why does it feel like hell????

The New Zealand part of the Godspeaks campaign was done by Consortium. Consortium don't enter awards.
